This approach seeks a deeper understanding of meaning and how it relates to the mind and culture. One of the most famous expressions in religious culture is the confident soul, which can be revisited from this perspective. Several verses in the Holy Quran mention confidence in various forms, including one who is confident in his Lord, one who is confident in prosperity and calamity, in expansion and contraction, in prohibition and giving, and so on. One who is confident does not doubt, therefore does not deviate, one who is confident does not weaken on the path, and does not panic on the day of terror and panic. Such a person has a confident soul. This article attempts to examine and explain this Quranic concept from various aspects, by asking the question of what is the function of the semantic sign of this religious expression. To answer this question, an analytical-descriptive method has been used. The research findings indicate that this concept not only presents a spiritual state, but also a complete model of mental health at the highest level, which is consistent with the findings of contemporary psychology. نشانه معناشناختی به بررسی و تحلیل چگونگی شکل‌گیری و تولید معنا در یک نشانه (مانند یک کلمه، مفهوم، تصویر، یا رفتار) و همچنین روابط آن با سایر نشانه‌ها در یک بافتار خاص می‌پردازد. این رویکرد به دنبال درک عمیق‌تر معنا و چگونگی ارتباط آن با ذهن و فرهنگ است. یکی از تعابیر بسیار معروف در فرهنگ دینی، نفس مطمئنه است که می توان از این منظر نگاهی دوباره بدان انداخت. آیات متعددی در قرآن کریم، اطمینان را به اشکال مختلف ذکر می‌کنند از جمله، کسی که به پروردگارش اطمینان دارد، کسی که در رفاه و بلا، در بسط و قبض، در منع و عطا و... اطمینان دارد. کسی که اطمینان دارد شک نمی‌کند، بنابراین منحرف نمی‌شود، کسی که اطمینان دارد در راه سست نمی‌شود، و در روز وحشت و هراس وحشت نمی‌کند. چنین کسی دارای نفس مطمئنه است. این جستار تلاش دارد این مفهوم قرآنی را از جنبه های مختلف بررسی و تبیین نماید، با طرح این سوال که کارکرد نشانه معناشناختی این تعبیر دینی چیست. برای پاسخ به این پرسش از روش تحلیلی ـ توصیفی استفاده شده است. یافته های پژوهش بیانگر آن است که این مفهوم، نه تنها یک حالت معنوی، بلکه الگویی کامل از سلامت روان در بالاترین سطح را ارائه می‌دهد که با یافته‌های روانشناسی معاصر نیز همخوانی دارد، همچنین نمادِ نهایی تکامل روح انسان است
