Abstract
Imagery of mental, tangible, and sensory concepts, as well as the materialization of spiritual matters through concrete phenomena, is prevalent throughout the Holy Qur'an. Most of these images are conveyed through conceptual metaphors. The Almighty God has depicted key Qur'anic concepts that play a significant role in the Islamic worldview and the understanding of the universe for the audience through cognitive metaphors. Among these spatial representations, certain verses approach the topic of body parts. Body parts possess various meanings and applications, which are employed to provide specific meanings for the conceptualization of abstract ideas. Consequently, the authors of this study utilize a descriptive-analytical method to examine these verses based on cognitive metaphors. The findings reveal that the Holy Qur'an employs various body parts, including the heart, face, feet, mouth, and hands—concrete and material concepts—to conceptualize abstract and mental ideas, thereby conveying its intended message to the audiences.
