Due to the unique style of the Holy Quran and its high rhetorical and expressive capacity, its translation has always faced many challenges. Emphasizing manner of verb is one of the most important linguistic phenomena that has been used in various styles and frequency in the Qur'an. Considering the fact that the purpose of the application of this language pattern is respecting the rhetoric for the reader to focus and observe a specific concept; investigating rhetorical aspects provides a new approach in translating the Quranic verses.
The present study uses a descriptive-analytical method, through the analysis and evaluation of aspects of the rhetorical being of emphasizing manner of verb meaning in three English translations of the Qur'an, according to dynamic-equivalence approach of Nida, to present approaches so that the soundness of a translation and the rhetoric in divine message against semantic entities are respected.
Findings show that Fooladvand’s translation, due to articulating and mentioning interpretation points, has the highest levels of dynamic equivalence in the message transfer. Haddad Adel’s translation, through maintaining and observing the literary style of the Qur'an and the reflection of rhetorical aspects, has achieved an appropriate level of dynamic balance. Khorramshahi’s translation, due to focusing and emphasizing on a literal translation, matches with the formal equivalence.
