Critical discourse analysis, or the identification of the hidden layers of any text, helps to better understand those texts. Since the Qur'an has been revealed as a divine book to guide mankind, the importance of its translation and interpretation is no longer hidden. Understanding this importance, one can also understand the place of discourse analysis in this field. The present study, using a descriptive-analytical method, based on Van Leeuwen's discourse-based constructs attempts to analyze these patterns in the Surah Maryam. Leeuwen introduces the sum of people who attend an event as social workers. The Van Leeuwen model includes components of orbital discourse such as elusion, inclusion, activation, passivation, personification, impersonification, linking, separation, and so on. In the continuation of the research, the frequency of representation of each social agent in Maryam is shown in a bar graph. The studies showed that the Van Leeuwen model was very effective in analyzing Maryam surah. In addition, it was found that between the two patterns of inclusion and elusion, the representation of social agents by the way of inclusion was higher. It is noteworthy that among the types of inclusion methods for social agents to express, the most frequent are the ones that are less significant than their counterparts. The same point indicates that in the Holy Qur'an, The Surah of Maki Maryam and the level of the early audience of that period were considered in the selection of the most appropriate way of expression, with the aim of deep influence
