The Image Schemas, first proposed by Mark Johnson, articulate the connection between human physical experience in the world and the organization of abstract thoughts through embodiment. In cognitive linguistics, this theory establishes the link between language and thought, demonstrating how abstract concepts are structured in terms of concrete concepts. The language of the Qur’an contains valuable themes and messages, some of which are organized through image schemas, enabling the audience to achieve a deeper understanding of abstract and intangible concepts by visualizing the verses. Therefore, the present study employs a descriptive-analytical method, relying on the theory of Image Schemas, to move the analysis of Surah Al-An’am beyond its surface meaning and explore its hidden conceptual layers. By adopting this cognitive approach, the internal structure of Surah Al-An’am is deciphered as part of a linguistic miracle, through the role of multiple image schemas in shaping abstract concepts. Consequently, this study validates Johnson’s theory as a significant research achievement for achieving a deeper comprehension and supra-literal meanings of the sacred text. Research findings indicate that in Surah Al-An’am, Volume Schemas predominantly signify concepts of vast divine mercy, the comprehensiveness of God’s knowledge, and fundamental dichotomies. Power Schemas focus on control mechanisms and the power relation within the cosmos, while Motion Schemas encompass divine guidance, sojourning on Earth, and the return to the origin; this latter type of schema exhibits the highest frequency.
